@owen_paquette1 first began boxing at the age of 9 and immediately fell in love with the sport. Boxing has given Owen the opportunity to test his individual strength, both mentally and physically. He takes pride in setting and meeting his goals; continuously working on improving, adapting, and refining his skills.
After meeting athletes such as Mandy Bujold, Egerton Marcus, Bill Dunlop, and his coach Gord Apolloni - he was inspired by their influence and became invested in pursuing the Olympics. Owen trains like a champion because he is eager to put Canada back on the podium at the Olympic and international stages.🥊
Owen is also passionate about being involved in his community and giving back. Currently, he is fundraising for the Special Olympics Team in support of the Special Olympic sports community and has raised $700 for the organization.
